Hand wood block-printed cushion cover
These cushion covers are designed, carved, printed and sewn by me in my little studio in Leicestershire.
The design is printed in a rich ochre yellow on an undyed hemp/cotton blend fabric. Hemp is one of the most sustainable fabrics on the market, it is biodegradable, compostible and recyclable, as well as being antibacterial and hypoallergenic. This fabric has a really lovely texture and is very durable.
The cushion closes with a lapped zip and is finished with piping to the edges.
The nature of hand block printing means no two prints will ever be quite the same and the resulting imperfections are what gives each product its own unique character. These items are probably not for you if you prefer a precise digital print!
Size- covers are designed to fit a 40 x 40cm cushion pad. The finished cushion will measure approx 36 x 36cm, this ensures a lovely, plump, cosy cushion!
