Hand block printed tea towel
These tea towels are designed, carved, printed and sewn by me in my studio in Leicestershire.
The design is printed in black on an undyed hemp/cotton blend fabric. Hemp is one of the most sustainable fabrics on the market, it is biodegradable, compostable and recyclable, as well as being antibacterial and hypoallergenic. This fabric has a really lovely texture and is very durable and softens with age.
The nature of hand block printing means no two prints will ever be quite the same and the resulting imperfections are what gives each product its own unique character. These items are probably not for you if you prefer a precise digital print!
